Born in New York City and raised in Montclair New Jersey, Deborah Larson was educated in the public schools in Montclair. She later graduated from Tufts University in Medford, MA with a triple major in French, Child Study and Education. She moved to the Northern Virginia area in 1973 and taught elementary school for four years.Since 1975, Deborah has specialized in selling Northern Virginia homes, land and small commercial properties.
She is especially adept in assisting buyers who are relocating from outside the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and has earned a Relocation Specialist designation. With a passion for historic properties and architecture, Deborah has also briefly studied with, and has become a member of National Trust for Historic Preservation. Enjoying architectural tours during domestic and international travels is one of Debbie’s favorite things to do! Recently, Deborah has obtained National Association of Realtors Resort and Second Home Specialist (RSS), Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), and Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) Designations in order to assist her clientele who may wish to ease into retirement or just have a second residence away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Conducting downsizing seminars for clients has been an additional area of concentration.
Dedicated to her profession, Debbie has taught real estate classes to new, mostly second career agents and has coordinated information seminars and sales meetings in her branch office of Long and Foster Realtors in McLean, Virginia.Debbie balances her life by playing violin, cello and piano. As an avid music lover, she plays cello and violin with the McLean (Virginia) Symphony and in the summers has played in “pops” concerts with the Annandale (Virginia) Symphony. One of her latest music learning experiences was a summer workshop to learn to play the Canadian Fiddle in Ottawa, Canada. To stay in shape, Debbie enjoys walking, jogging or biking through the pretty Northern Virginia towns and countryside. Deborah lives in McLean, Virginia with her husband, William.
